How was Berlin and what did you see there?@Anonymous
Berlin was magical! We did a lot while we were there. We walked around Alexanderplatz and Potsdamplatz the first day to feel out the more tourist-popular part of town. We wined and dined with young people from all over the place. I met some really great folks. I learned how to make sushi finally! I went to the Eastside Gallery, attended a comedy night, went to Treptower park and the Templehof. I did visit Museum Island and spent Thanksgiving with German and American Fullbright students.I even got to see Cate Le Bon perform live. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip (maybe just a longer one). Thank you for asking (-:
I came from the top of the world and dove into the deep end of extreme anxiety.
back from Berlin, it was amazing but now I am being a human
I’m really stoked on a lot of things right now. My presentation on Thomas Eakins went better than expected and one of the grad students told me it was one of the strongest of the class. I only have a couple of papers left and a few weeks of class and winter break will be here, finally. Sam and I leave for Berlin next Friday and we have so much on our list that we plan to do (and plan to eat! Thank you, Lindsey PW) I expect to see friends soon! I plan to attend the Baby Horse Theatre production. Sorry I haven’t had the time, I miss everyone so much. Also Jacqueline and I will each be allowed to design, research and exhibit our own display in the history museum in the coming months. I am very pleased that we are being asked to stick around!
